Just a short note to express our appreciation to all concerned in making our visit to LimeTree Park such a pleasant one. We have enjoyed many Hoseasons holidays over the years and your site easily comes top in our MUST REVISIT list. Our accommodation was so comfortable and clean and your staff friendly and helpful, we shall certainly recommend Lime Tree Park to our friends and plan to come again tovisit the places we couldn't fit in.

It is the way of life today to be quick to complain but very slow to praise and this is reason why I am writing these few lines.
I would like to say what a pleasant stay we had at Lime Tree Park, the accommodation was excellent but what impressed myself and my friends was the attitude of you all. You could not have been more friendly and helpful towards us, a direct contrast to where we stayed last year.
It helped to make our visit memorable. We hope to return some time in the future and we will have no hesitation in recommending the site to friends. Once again many thanks to you all.

Mrs Mitchell - Moorends
Very clean site, hot showers, friendly staff, nice wardens, great views, spacious pitches
We will be returning.

Mrs Gardner - Worksop
A really lovely campsite. Excellent setting and the facilities were first rate. Toilets and Showers were clean at all times and lovely and warm to step into. Staff seemed to be busy all the time, bins were emptied regularly and it was very tidy and staff were friendly. Enjoyed our couple of days!!

Mr Postema - Holland
we would like to say that our stay was pleasant, The people we have met were terrific, the was very helpful and friendly, the mobille home was very cosy and we can recommend it to everyboby. Also for us it is a pity that there is no longer an oppertunity for smokers to smoke in the mobile homes (since we are smokers).

Just returned from a weekend at Lime Tree and we had a fantastic time. First impressions when we drove on, wasn't sure if we would enjoy it as we were directly facing the toilet block on the tent field (with elec hook up). The pitches were also on a slight slope. But within a few minutes of arriving we loved it. We turned the tents (as went with friends) sideways so even though there was a slope our beds were facing in the right direction. Toilets were clean and showers very hot although not very powerful. We were on pitches 37a and 38a and would say the only drawback to these pitches was that in a morning, I could hear people walking to the shower block and washing up area so if you wanted a lie in, you had no chance. The staff on site were extremely helpful and friendly. We actually stayed on the last day until 5 pm (pay an extra £5 and you can stay until 6pm rather than rushing off for 12). Nice walk into Buxton, over the fields with sheep in, kids loved it, and at the bottom of the road there is a Morrisons. There is a children’s play area and also a large field to play ball games as none allowed on the site but the grass was too long in the field to play any games which was a shame. Will be returning some time this year as one of the best ones we have stayed at.

We've just come back from Lime Tree park and would definitely come here again. We didn't bring a car and found it very convenient to walk to Morrissons (about a 15 minute walk) and in general found all our facilities within easy walking distance. The campsite was lovely and the staff are very friendly, and the layout of the tents is really good. The only thing I would say is that there are no plugs in the ladies toilets, although there is a free hairdryer which took about an hour to dry my hair, I would have much preferred to use my own especially as we had wet and cold weather on a few days. Overall I would describe it as a beautiful, clean, safe park close to all the facilities you may need. Definately worth a visit.

Very welcoming and friendly site. It was the end of half term when we arrived and the kids were abundant, so they could do with a play area. There is a small games room and shop plus a 24 hour Tesco Express 2 mins from site. Toilets we clean and free! and facilities adequate. We really enjoyed our stay as the atmosphere was great, but the pitches are a little close together so be prepared to talk to your neighbour. Places visited were Solomon's Temple and Cheek Hill (if you like walking go to the trig point at 551). Great experience!

Superb site. Everything absolutely fantastic. Will be Back.

We've just returned from a very wet, very windy, and very good time here. It was our very first camp and decided to go thanks to the reviews here. The staff were very helpful, the toilets and showers were very clean. Even though it was quite busy I rarely encountered anyone else in the toilet blocks. It also rained pretty much all the time we were there and there was no sign of mud in the toilet/shower blocks either. There are some nice terraced areas with shade and shelter from the trees and also a large sloping field for camping too. The childrens park area kept my two children, 8 and 5 years of age, entertained with their new found friends. Morrisons is only a short drive away so next time we go we'll only take a few basics with us and get the rest there. Buxton also contains a Yeomans and Millets so any equipment that breaks or is lost can be replaced. I can't recommend this site more. If you want a nice relaxing time then go here. We did have EHU with us but booked too late to get a pitch with EHU however when we arrived we took a walk around the site and noticed that the EHU pitches were mixed with the touring caravans. The pitches were nice and level but we don't think we'd have had such a nice time as the layout didn't seem to offer the opportunities to mix with the other campers like the terraced non-EHU area did.

Good welcome from lady on reception. Took time to explain about the site and facilities. As mentioned previously, the toilets/showers were very clean, the best I've used in the UK! The site is about 15 mins walk to Buxton, 20 mins on the return, as it's uphill. 'No noise after 10pm' signs - and no one did. The downside is that it's under a flightpath and there's a railway line in the distance operating diesel engines. I was woken up by shunting at 05.30. A bit pricey too at £14 for a 2 man tent per night(and I was by myself). But I'd go back and I'd recommend it.

Just got back from a weekend at this site. Pitch was great and facilities good. In all the sites I have been to these are some of the best staff I have ever experienced, very helpful, good attitude, one was even mopping the ladies toilets at 10.30 at night because of all the mud ( it was a very rainy night). Would recommend it to any one. Only thing to take account of is a steep hill to toilets and this can be difficult if you have a disability effecting breathing as one of our party has, but to be fair he used the car as paths to the tents is very accessible.

Lime Tree is the closest site to Buxton itself, you can walk to Morrisons within about 15 minutes. From you book in to you leave the staff can't do enough and are really friendly. You are shown to your pitches which are nearly all on hard standing with the toilet/ shower block 2nd to none. Near reception there is a public phone, games room and laundry room. The only problem I would have with site is there is very little light at night. Level 2 is the local night club which is open late on Wednesday, Friday & Saturday with many of the other local bars open to midnight or later. All taxis will drop you off at the shower block, we used A Cabs (01298 70423)

Really enjoyed our stay here - the staff could not be any more helpful or nice and they really make you feel welcome. We stayed over the Easter weekend and saw snow arrive overnight. Excellent facilities for the dog she really enjoyed running around on the dog walking field. Definitely well worth a visit!

March 08 - Touring Caravan
This is a truly superb site. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The views of the viaduct and countryside are fantastic. The toilet block and showers are immaculate and even have a radio playing. There is a little play area at the rear of the Reception. The shop is small but adequate. There is a laundry room with a big washer and dryer. The Games room is really nice too. It is a little too far to walk to the centre of Buxton for a meal/drink so we took the car. Close by there is a Tesco express and a Sainsbury's local with plenty of pubs which are walkable if you are fit. Altogether a great experience especially as it was our very first time out with our 'vintage' caravan which we have just acquired to see if we like the caravanning life. And we do!
